In April, Dr. Ron Allen spent a few days with us at CBC.  His time of ministry with us was just that...ministry.  Brother Allen's years as a pastor have enabled him to have a true servant's heart for other pastors and missionaries.  He invested time with our missionaries and pastors by counseling, fellowshipping, praying with and encouraging them.  The church family praises the Lord for the time we had together.  Personally I look forward to crossing Dr. Allen's path again in other conferences , or when he returns to Calvary.

Mission Minded vs A Heart for Missions!  Is there a difference?  To have a mind for missions requires little more than the habitual act of giving and associating with hose involved.  When you have a heart for missions you become one with the missionary and their ministry.  The missionary become an extension of you and your ministry.  You will begin looking for ways and opportunities to involve yourself in their personal lives, in their families and in their ministries.  Pastor Allen and Barbara understand this heart for missions.  They have lived and exemplified this both to missionaries and to churches throughout the world.  They are effective at communicating this burden that God has given to them to those they speak with.  In just a few moments you will sense their heart's desire and your vision for having a heart for missions will be awakened.
